Paddle around the slowly flowing South Fork River through Cramerton, a historic mill town near Charlotte, at your leisure for 90 minutes with views of protected forests, small town charm and budding outdoor recreation opportunities. This beautiful section of river is perfect for beginners and intermediates alike.
Out-and-Back Kayaking Experiences
Start at Centennial Launch in Cramerton and choose your paddle:
- Upstream towards McAdenville and back (1.5 miles)
- Around Goat Island Park and back (1.3 miles)
- Downstream to Riverside Park and back (2 miles)

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON - Walk-Up Rentals: Saturdays and Sundays 10 AM - 4 PM

Centennial Launch (141 8th Ave, Cramerton, NC) in downtown Cramerton
Cost:
- $25 per kayak rental
- $20 per kayak rental for residents of Belmont, Cramerton or McAdenville
- 10% discount for Catawba Riverkeeper members
Rental Cost Includes:
- Single or tandem sit-on-top kayak
- PFD
- Paddle
- Basic water safety
- Basic paddling instruction on-land
Restrictions:
- Must be 18 years of age to purchase tickets
- Must be 4 years of age to ride in a tandem kayak with an adult
- Must be 8 years of age to ride in a single kayak with an adult in another kayak
